Diana Valencia was born and raised in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. A beautiful city located on the Mexican Gulf coast, famous for its vibrantly diverse culture and traditions.

Diana found her passion for the performing arts at a young age. Her interest guided her first towards the dancing and singing scene and then acting in theater and film. Diana received training from recognized Mexican dancers Lucy Rivera and Reynel Melgarejo in jazz, ballet and hip-hop, which led her and her team to become national champions in the most prestigious dance competition in the country “Intercolegial de Baile”.

Following her on-stage success, Diana engaged in opera singing, influenced by Tenor Armando Mora, and eventually performed at several concerts and shows in Mexico.

Later on, she began training in acting alongside Theatre Director Abraham Oceransky (Teatro La Libertad) and Film Director Marcel Sisniega (Escuela Veracruzana Luis Bunuel). This lead her to appear in her first short film alongside Mexican Actor Silverio Palacios.

Diana decided to pursue her acting career and moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue a BFA in acting for film at the New York Film Academy, from which she graduated with honors.

She has ever since worked on several independent films and theater plays like “The House of Bernarda Alba” directed by Denise Blasor, “The Trickster of Seville” directed by Margarita Galban and “Entre Madrez Te Veas” directed by Gerardo Gutierrez.

She also produced, wrote and starred in her own short film “ El Abuelo y Yo” co- directed by Pedro Paulo Araujo and Alejandro Ibarra, which was selected for the Short Film Corner at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.

Aside from receiving further training as an actress, dancer and singer, Diana continues to work in a variety of projects ranging from TV Commercials, Online Content, TV series and Film.

Diana is currently in the pre production of a short documentary set in Mexico City and two experimental short films filmed in Los Angeles, which will make her debut as a director.
